Gazeta praca Presentation

Site's statement

The portal was created in 2011, with several thematic categories: "Private Life", "Employment & Money", "Information and Knowledge", "E-Market"... It is one of the most famous website in Poland.

Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: GazetaPraca and Goldenline work together to get your job adverts the attention they deserve. Both are affiliations of Agora (around for almost 30 years!), which owns most of the media in Poland, be it radio advertising, press releases, websites or film distribution. First things first, the address for GrazetaPraca is and NOT which will take you to the homepage. Secondly, though GrazetaPraca (created in 2006) has many job offers, it lets its big brother Goldenline (created in 2005) take over for payments and even applications. The statistics reflect that: GazetaPraca has only 352 800 views per month, while GoldenLine gets about 6.5 million! Every date on the homepage screams, “we are not up-to-date” (and don’t even ask about the archives section).  The small print down the bottom of the page lead to random articles (most of which are relatively old or non-existent). Oh, and their twitter outreach? 38 followers. All that aside, one job board is better than one and they have a nice layout.

Design: The dominant colour is orange with blue for the job headings. The layout is appealing, with a workplace photo on the homepage and a search bar in three parts over it (keyword, location and industry). The only recommended employer is their own (Agora), next to some featured jobs (all a few days old), followed by “special offers” (2 out of 4 lead to a page with an email address and no information about the job), a list of old articles, some of their partners and finally, the jobs by industry, field, university (which always redirects you to GoldenLine) or by city. The publication date is visible, the filters (city, industry, publication date) are on the right (with a line separating them from the job offers). Above each job offer, you have a company rating when someone has reviewed it. Most of the postings have a professional layout (some are even customized with phots and helpful icons) but there are some which are no longer than a paragraph.

The job board objective: Once a smaller part of the “Gazeta”, GazetaPraca was designed to dedicate more space to the job offers on a more professional website.

Recruiter observations: To place an advert, you are redirected to GoldenLine. See GoldenLine for more information.

Jobseeker observations: You don’t need to sign up to apply to job offers. Most of the time, Gazeta Praca redirects you to the website advertising jobs directly (or to GoldenLine). It’s easy to use, the jobs are in order of the newest to the oldest.

The job offers: Most of the job offers are in the production/industrial field and the engineering and computing field. The number of job offers per industry are in brackets on the job search page (the numbers are updated as you change your filters).

Reactivity: Automatic message and a chat box might seem handy, but you have to speak to them directly over the phone to get any real information.

Special features: Calculator and tools (but only the “pension” calculator works); blog (abandoned for the last 1-2 years); news feeds; recommended employer; company ratings.

Verdict: Since your job offers will be advertised on GrazetaPraca and GoldenLine, you might as well use GoldenLine directly. As for the job seekers, there’s no harm in checking both.
