Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: Jooble has made a name for itself in Eastern Europe and has a much smaller reputation in Latin America. Created by two Ukrainians, Roman Prokofyev et Evgueny Sobakarev, who also founded TeamSoft LLC (a staffing and IT recruiting firm), Jooble has been helping people find jobs for over 11 years and is now present in 64 countries. It helps to have an app (created by students – Vojta Petrus, Marcelo Gutierrez, and Peter Javorki – who know just how hard it is to find work in remote areas). According to different blogs, they are particularly popular in Poland, Hungary, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
Design: The design is simple and Jooble explicitly wants to be thought of as the Google of jobs (which might be one explanation for the name). Contrary to google though, they have two search bars: one for a keyword and one for a location and it has more advertisements. The logo is a rabbit popping up from behind the name. Down the bottom of the page, some locations and popular keywords are suggested. When you first enter the list of offers, a huge pop-up appears asking if you want a new job (to set alerts), which can be perceived as a bit aggressive.
The job board objective: Connecting people – even those in the remotest of places – with available jobs. They want to become the Google of jobs, much like Trovit. However, Jooble is ranked 704th for its activity worldwide, and Trovit is only 2327th.
Recruiter observations: You don't need an account to post an advert on Jooble. Just click on "Post a job" and follow the instructions. They check the company e-mail address and then post your advert for free.
Jobseeker observations: You get redirected to the website, or job board advertising the opening.
The job offers: Everything.
Special features: Jooble-Search Box; Links to Jooble; other people’s keywords in your country.
Verdict: If you are looking for work, there’s no harm in using it to browse the offers online. Free advertising is always a plus.
