Summary: Driving the way of AI in recruitment in Switzerland, Jobeo is a new player on the block and has been around since 2014. So far, so good: the job board, which prides itself on its matching technology, receives 126 030 visits a month (about 70% of which come from Switzerland) and it also has a small following on social media: 605 followers on LinkedIn, 118 on Twitter (nothing new since last year) and 4 053 on Facebook. It was created by Malik Hammoutène, who actually lives in Dublin (according to his Twitter). The general manager however is Nicolas Vadureau. Design: The homepage features a large image of an overexposed background and a businessman on the side. To use the search engine (keywords, location, contract type) you need to fill in at least one of the fields. Some employers who are recruiting are featured but you can’t click on them. If you continue to scroll down, you will be able to choose between a number of panels (cantons, cities, domains, and jobs). Once in the job listing, the filters (contract type, location, sector, company, position, language and date) appear on the left-hand side and they display the number of offers for each subcategory. If you have created an account, your compatibility with the results will appear above the filters, as well as next to each open job offer. You can see logos and publication dates in the listing. Furthermore, there are also company pages. Each one includes a backdrop image, a logo, a short description about the company and the current job offers.
The job board objective: Through advanced technology, Jobeo hopes to speed up the recruitment process in Switzerland.
Recruiter observations: To create an account, recruiters must provide a phone number (but it doesn’t have to be a Swiss one), an address and the sector of the business. From the dashboard, you can see statistics on your recruitment campaigns. When creating a job offer, you have a tracking system of your progress.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account and you choose whether or not you want your CV to be accessible through the database.
The job offers: There are over 4 000 job offers on the site. For most of them, French is a required language, and the offers are in construction.
Reactivity: There is chat support on the homepage and the team answers very quickly.
Special features: The articles; chat support; the stats; job alerts; Jobeo matching.
Verdict: Jobeo is just at the beginning of its career. The social media could use some TLC, but otherwise, the matching technology is an interesting idea. It’s worth looking into this one to see what they can offer, which other job boards in Switzerland can’t.
