Jobisjob Presentation

Site's statement

JobisJob gives jobseekers and recruiters a headstart in the employment game by making it as easy as possible for you to find them, and for them to find you.

As a job search engine, we collect employment offers from scores of major boards. We carefully organise them and sieve out spam to produce our finished product – hundreds of thousands of quality job listings. Our propriety search technology and carefully-adapted filters then allow you to strike career gold with just a few clever clicks of the mouse

As well as a standard job search, you can explore your networks and use your connections to your advantage with our social search options. Customise your job hunt further by saving filters and job offers, and creating email and RSS feed alerts which notify you of new opportunities in your chosen field.

Job sites and recruiters can also use JobisJob to increase their listings’ web presence. All offers featured on JobisJob are hosted on their original webpages, meaning we drive high-quality potential applicants to your site and deliver clicks that convert. We don’t charge for our services, although you should be aware that we only accept applications from genuine sources.

Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Created in 2007, JobisJob, a large aggregator, is present in a number of countries all around the world. In the UK alone, it attracts 68 710 visits a month. Among the shareholders, we have Schibsted and Grupo Intercom, so the site is run by two very important groups in the business. On social media, the following is extensive: 4 748 followers on LinkedIn, 644 on Instagram, 39 512 on Facebook, 4 391 on Twitter and finally, 1 600 followers on Pinterest (which is where the company shares infographics). All of the social media covers the different countries, so it is in English.

Design: On the homepage, you can use the search engine (keywords and location), select a sector from a list or click on a location on the interactive map. By scrolling down, you’ll also see top job searches, top companies and other locations. There is even an “I got a Job” section. To use the search engine, a keyword is required. Once in the job listing, there are filters (category, job title, company, job type, date posted and salary) on the left-hand side. Most of the offers have a salary range and logo and they all have publication dates. You can sort the jobs by date or relevance and some of them come from different websites.

The job board objective: JobisJob retrieves job adverts from all over the internet so that jobseekers can have to widest range of offers to choose from.

Recruiter observations: To create an account, recruiters must provide the number of employees, the zip code, a phone number and the VAT number. You can post a job or drive visitors to your website through the different solutions.

Jobseeker observations: To post your CV, you need to go through Resume-Library or Top Resume. You can create an account though, with Facebook or an e-mail address.

The job offers: There are 1 418 494 job offers on the site, most of which are in industry/production, logistics/distribution and construction/real estate.

Reactivity: There is a phone number in the legal section. Otherwise, you can use the contact form (the site tries to deter users from contacting the team by suggesting topics).

Special features: The candidate experiences; job alerts; the app; the market overview (which includes the top job boards, top categories, top locations, top advertisers, top titles for a country of your choice); the strategic questions; the case studies; infographics (shared on Pinterest); graphs (for top companies, top categories, job titles, locations, job types and salaries); the forum (which can be specific for locals).

Verdict: JobisJob is a classic case of don’t judge a book by its cover. This site has so much to offer in the way of information and jobs from all over the internet. We definitely recommend using it to gain an overview of the market and the available jobs. It’s unfortunate the French version doesn’t suggest any CV databases.
