Over a year ago, on September 22, 2014, the world’s #1 job site Indeed launched a global advertising campaign called ‘How the World Works’. According to the company, the 2014 launch resulted in an increase of brand awareness by at least 50% in the countries involved – Australia, Germany, United Kingdom and United States. With such strong results, Indeed announced on October 5, 2015 the expansion of the brand campaign to Canada, France, Japan and the Netherlands with 3 additional videos.

Middle East leading job site Bayt.com announced on September 15, 2015 its 1 million questions reach and 10 million users milestone on Bayt.com Specialties. With Bayt.com, applicants have the option of selecting up to 5 specialties on their CV and display these top 5 skills on their profile for employers to see. Launched in 2013, Bayt.com Specialties is a Question & Answer website that allows users to share career content and highlight their expertise while networking with industry peers.

A new service for freelancers with Viadeo Freelance

In 2014, there were over 700,000 freelancers in France which represents an increase of 85% between 2004 and 2013. With these figures in mind, Viadeo decided to launch a new service to help freelancers and employers get in touch: Viadeo Freelance was born. Since September 7, 2015, employers looking for contractors can post their jobs for free on Viadeo. About 550,000 freelancers are currently registered on the platform and will be able to access the job ads on the professional network.

Reality TV show ‘The Apprentice’ comes to France

On September 9, 2015, the first episode of ‘The Apprentice’ will be on French television for the first time. Born in the United States over 10 years ago, the concept of the successful reality show was sold to over 20 countries before the official launch in France. Fourteen candidates will compete for a sales manager position throughout the show.
