College Recruiter Presentation

Site's statement

At College Recruiter, we believe that every student and recent grad deserves a great career. We believe in creating a great candidate and recruiter experience. Our interactive media solutions connect students and grads to great careers. College Recruiter is the leading, interactive, recruitment media company used by college students and recent graduates to find great careers.

Our customers are primarily employers who want to recruit dozens, hundreds, or thousands of students and recent graduates per year. Our three main products are job postings, targeted email campaigns, targeted mobile banner advertising campaigns, and targeted display advertising campaigns.

Jobboard Finder’s opinion

College Recruiter is a job boards for recent graduates and students in the US:

  • The site is simple and clear to use
  • On the homepage there is a list of featured employers and you can do a quick search using the lists of top metros, top entry level jobs, and top internships
  • You can also use the search engine to do a general search but there is no option to filter your results after
  • Also the search engine is not so straightforward as you have a to add a location and key word first before you can view all the job offers
  • There is no clear date of publication on the offers in the results, so it is not easy to know how recent and regularly updated this list is
  • However this job board does offer a lot of extra support and information for both job seekers and recruiters
  • There is even a salary calculator, resume critique, and a recruiter events calendar.

Marketing activities

College Recruiter is used by about three million students and recent graduates per year. They find our site through search engines such as Google and Bing, social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, our job match alert emails, and ads that we run with other media.

We receive a lot of traffic through our search engine optimization efforts, in part because we went live way back in 1996 and have over 40,000 pages of articles, blogs, videos, and other content. We have over 200,000 social media connections. More than half a million candidates are currently subscribed to our job match alert emails. We buy candidate traffic from thousands of college career service office websites, job search sites which target students and recent graduates, and other niche career sites.

For employers, each year we host one or two College Recruiting Bootcamp user conferences. Hosts have included The George Washington University, Ernst & Young, JCPenney, LinkedIn, Twilio, U.S. General Services Administration, Verizon, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. These highly interactive events bring together dozens to hundreds of talent acquisition and other human resource leaders from the leading employers of students and recent graduates.

Latest innovations

In 2016, College Recruiter introduced JobsThatScale, a solution for employers who want to hire dozens, hundreds, or thousands of students and recent graduates for one role in multiple locations, multiple roles in one location, or multiple roles in multiple locations.

Employers who post a job to a typical job board are fortunate if they hire one person. To hire many people, they need to run dozens and perhaps hundreds of postings. That's expensive both in terms of time and money. With JobsThatScale, we listen to the hiring needs of our employer customer and then do a little math to figure out how many candidates we need to send to their website in order for them to generate enough applications to reach their hiring goals. We then charge the employer for the clicks that we generate. This solution saves the employer a lot of time and a lot of money.
