Ghana’s leading job website, Jobberman Ghana, has partnered Facebook and Airtel, a telecommunications company, to bring all the latest jobs to the general public through an internet app (Internet.org) that enables free access to some websites.

Airtel customers in Ghana are now able to access information on jobs, education, maternal health news and sports updates, and local information for free. Websites such as Facebook, Jobberman Ghana, BBC News, Messenger, Wikipedia, Baba Centre & MAMA, and Supersports, are among the websites that can be accessed without extra charges.

According to Jobberman.com.gh, the cost of accessing the Internet is a real barrier to many jobseekers in Ghana since they could not afford data bundles.

It is in the light of this that we are partnering Facebook to bring relief to jobseekers who are unable to buy data bundles to access the internet services for free to help improve their lives.” said Babajide Otoki- Jobberman Ghana CEO.

Jobberman.com.gh matches employers with jobseekers through the internet and provides effective tools for recruiting talents for employers. According to Similarweb, Jobberman had more than 250,000 sessions on its website in December 2014 and was ranked 66th in the whole country. Thanks to this initiative, Jobberman should normally see its audience increasing very quickly.
