If your brand has been tarnished the situation is even more drastic.<\/p>\n<p>If your company does not have a good <strong>reputation<\/strong>, you risk never even catching a glimpse of the <strong>best candidates\u2019<\/strong> applications. Luckily, there\u00a0are steps you can take to get your brand\u2019s reputation back up to scratch and even <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2017\/02\/14\/technology\/uber-corporate-culture\/index.html\">continue recruiting top talent despite it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Get back into the good books<\/h2>\n<p>Take time to work on your <strong>employer brand<\/strong> and get it back to where you want it to be.<\/p>\n<p>For example, go and check out your company profile on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobboardfinder.com\/jobboard-glassdoor-usa\">Glassdoor<\/a>. Do whatever it takes to get to a point where you can point out your happy employees to potential candidates, and prove to them that your reputation is <strong>undeserved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Make the most of your resources<\/h2>\n<p>Remember: your best <strong>brand<\/strong> <strong>ambassadors<\/strong> are your <strong>current employees<\/strong>. They work for you for a <strong>reason<\/strong>, and you need to get them to tell the world what that reason is.<\/p>\n<p>There are two reasons why using <strong>referrals<\/strong> from your best employees are a great option for recruiting for tarnished brands.<\/p>\n<p>First, they will refer friends, ex-colleagues and contacts who <strong>they can vouch for<\/strong>. This will considerably shorten the recruitment process and <strong>avoid wasting time<\/strong> by shortlisting relevant and <strong>trustworthy<\/strong> <strong>candidates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, you can rely on your own employees to present the company in a <strong>positive light<\/strong>, and explain to their friends about what is <strong>great<\/strong> about working for your business, despite any scandal or bad press it may have received.<\/p>\n<h2>Transparency is key<\/h2>\n<p>If there has been a big mistake or scandal caused by your company and it was your fault, you need to own up to that. Be <strong>honest<\/strong>, <strong>acknowledge<\/strong> and <strong>apologise for your mistakes<\/strong> sincerely; this is important for <strong>PR<\/strong> but also just a generally decent thing to do.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of <strong>employer image<\/strong>, it is crucial that you act with <strong>integrity<\/strong> and recognize you were at <strong>fault<\/strong>.
