Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: The job board part of Texas A and M, WFSCjobs, lists jobs relating to aquaculture, wildlife, fisheries, environment, ecology, natural resources, conservation, biological sciences, life sciences, and outdoor recreation. To find contact information or an “About Us” section, you need to go the the WFSC main page. It has as many as 1 597 followers on Twitter, 77 on Youtube (for many videos) and a further 2 158 on Facebook. It has been around since 2010.

Design: The homepage of the job board is particularly simple. You can choose to view the list of job offers (which you can only cull with keywords), the job post form or the FAQ. The offers have a clear publication date, a location, a job title and company name in the listing, as well as expiry dates once opened. Job offers can have a contact person, e-mail and/or phone number. You can also access the company website through the job offer.

The job board objective: WFSCjobs has made it easy to access jobs in wildlife and fisheries in the US.

Recruiter observations: Recruiters can create job offers for free.

Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers don’t need an account.

The job offers: It’s difficult to see how many job offers there are on the site at the moment.

Reactivity: There are many numbers and e-mail addresses from which to choose. If you’re job related to wildlife and fisheries, then you should have no trouble simply posting it to the website.

Special features: The Youtube videos; the articles; the events calendar.

Verdict: The website design could definitely be improved, to make the search for job offers easier/ That said, posting is free and jobseekers don’t even need an account. If your job offer is no longer visible on the homepage, then simply post it again.
