Jobboard Finder’s opinion
Summary: MojaZaoslitev (which means “my job”) has been around since May 2010, bringing jobs to jobseekers and candidates to recruiters. The “About US” section reflects their transparency and honesty through clear information and photos of the team (all women). On social media, the website has 856 Twitter followers, 22 423 on Facebook and another 1 527 on Linkedin. With over 138 150 visits a month, MojaZaoslitev has made it to the 198th position on the list of the most active websites in Solvenia. Language is always an issue in Solvenia since the job offers need to be written in Slovene, but luckily, this job board offers a translating service.
Design: The dominantly purple website has the search engine (keywords) on one side and a professional-looking man on the other side, as if to say: “This could be you.” There are many categories (with the number of job offers in brackets for each category) and featured companies (which are all hiring) just above some advertisements. The rest of the homepage is dedicated to job offers. If you chose to cull the job offers, you can use the search engine and/or the filters (industry, location, publication date, level of education, the company), which remain at the top of the page. The job offers cover the entire page, some with logos, others without, and include the location, the company and the publication date. The adverts themselves vary in length and in design (they are completely customized to suit the company). Unfortunately, some of the adverts cannot be translated by Google, or even copied into another translating tool. Contact information is on the right-hand side.
The job board objective: In their own words, MojaZaposlitev is the “kindest job board” and the team highlights this empathy for the jobseeker and the recruiter, which makes the employment processes easier.
Recruiter observations: You can’t create an advert or an account without contacting the team.
Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account, but there are a number of annoying fields to fill out (even if you download a CV instead of creating one). There is an emphasis on visualizing what you’re displaying on the website: whether you’re applying to a job, browsing your account or looking through a list of offers from the same company, a miniature version on your CV stays on the screen. You can therefore change anything that doesn’t quite fit the role you’re applying to (for example). When you apply, you can send your CV with or without a cover letter (in theory). Furthermore, the CV visibility options are quite reassuring for those who do not want recruiters to find them in the CV database. Unfortunately though, unless you’re Slovenian, you probably won’t understand the education section and how to answer correctly.
The job offers: There are 1 115 job offers. Technical services, food industry and mechanics & mining are the most popular industries.
Special features: The CV builder; the news section; the career advice section (covering all the important aspects of the job search); the CV privacy options; job alerts; the employer news (updated); the quick tips (next to the job offers and advice columns); the translation service; the list of articles about the company (some don’t exist anymore).
Verdict: The language is an issue. If you speak Slovenian though, MojaZaposlitev is a handy website to look for work.
